Leven Kali Drops Electrifying Live ‘Are U Still’ Visual

Leven Kali is sharing a live performance video for his new electrifying new single “Are U Still.”

It marks his first solo release since 2022 and his official debut for Def Jam Recordings.

Live drums kickstart the track as harmonies flutter. In between soft piano, his warm vocals practically melt the production, alternating from laidback intonation to a bold high register. As the momentum ramps up, he repeatedly asks, “Are you still in love like I am?” The vibe flips as funky guitar locks into a bounce with handclaps. Fittingly, a wild trumpet solo acts as a cherry on top of this future-facing R&B delight.

Leven Kali, multi Grammy-nominated for his work on Beyoncé’s “Renaissance,” co-wrote the standout “Bodyguard” for the latter. Of course, this continues his run as a key trusted collaborator for Beyoncé. Prior, he served as a co-writer on “Alien Superstar,” “Plastic Off the Sofa,” “Virgo’s Groove,” and “Summer Renaissance” from 2022’s Renaissance—which took home a Grammy for “Best Dance/Electronic Album.”

Beyond these mega-collabs, his voice could be heard on genre-busting tracks like “How You Feel” with ANOTR and Erik Bandt last year. It’s no wonder FLAUNT hailed him as an “R&B prodigy” during an Outside Lands Q&A and marveled at how, “his music jumps from generation to generation of funkadelic fire.”
